Here Are the Highlights from the First Ever Sperm Race
And yes, you could bet on it.
Now that sports gambling has made it to not only every sport, but every *part* of every sport, people are scrambling to find new things to bet on. Of course, with sites like Polymarket, everything can become fair game for gambling, but guessing who’s going to win Best Picture isn’t as exciting as betting on sports. And so, it was determined that we need another sport — and that’s where Sperm Racing comes in.
Over the weekend, two college students competed in the world’s first “sperm race.” Their sperm was collected, it was placed into a track, and then raced, with people observing IRL and via livestream. While the stated goal was to raise awareness about male infertility, I don’t know how effective it was — though I must admit it was more entertaining than I thought it’d be.
